Accessibility Statement

We are committed to making this website accessible in accordance with the Federal Act on Barrier-Free Access to Websites and Mobile Applications of the Federal Government (Web Accessibility Act – WZG), Federal Law Gazette I No. 59/2019 as amended.

This accessibility statement applies to this website.

Compliance Status

This website is partially compliant with conformance level AA of the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1” and with the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03), as required by Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible Content

Due to the historical development of the website, we assume that some content is not fully accessible.

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:

a. Non-compliance with accessibility requirements

  • Some images and buttons lack alternative text or contain non-descriptive alt text.
  • Some tables do not have headers; headings are missing or improperly structured; lists are not correctly formatted or lack ARIA labels.
  • Contrast requirements for text and non-text content in accordance with WCAG Level AA are not consistently met.
  • The structure and labeling of headings and form fields are continuously being revised to improve clarity and usability.
  • The requirement for proper reformatting under strong magnification without loss of content or functionality is largely met; content remains usable at high zoom levels.
  • Keyboard navigation is generally available on the site. Most functions can be used without a mouse, though some minor limitations remain.
  • We plan to gradually fix editorially manageable issues, such as missing alternative texts.
  • We also plan to gradually address technically feasible issues, such as limited operability.

b. Disproportionate burden

  • The tab order and menu positioning are not always correct.
  • Some of our videos are hosted on this website and some on YouTube. For some of these videos, it is not possible to provide the required audio descriptions.

c. Content not within the scope of applicable legislation

  • Historic documents (e.g., older image and PDF files) are not fully accessible to screen reader users and cannot be adequately scaled.
